This is why we encourage diversity in our recruitment - Bring yours to Nexans, it is welcome!We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Supply Chain Department.PurposeDesign/Organize and run a system to ensure alignment between Sales requirement and factory capacity (Machines Capacity & Raw Materials)Areas of ResponsibiltyProcurement ManagementEstablish order’s forecast plan related to the various suppliers according to the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) and Scheduling MeetingCalculate the net requirement for Raw Materials according to the Master Production Schedule (MPS)Review raw materials shipments and manage supplier alerts with Purchase TeamInventory ManagementReview daily with Logistic Officers raw materials movement dailyAnalyse deviations (Overconsumption,…)Manage ABC matrix & related actions (obsolete items management/reporting)Propose alternative solutions in case of shortageEnsure raw materials availability for the weekly production scheduleIssue to carpentry drums preparation needs and follow-up the achievementsParticipate to the Scheduling Meeting/S&OP for critical raw material issuesPlant Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) ManagementDefine and Update the technical product families of the plant (according to main bottlenecks)Deploy S&OP forecast and Machine Schedule Load visibilityRun simulation orders in Scheduling software and measure impacts when requiredMaster Production Scheduling ManagementManage plant bottleneck (loading and feeding)Ensure the schedule feasibility by identifying capacity, resources and available inventoriesSupervise with Production and Support Functions (Maintenance, Quality...) daily output with a particular focus on commitment, bottleneck management and inventory level respectMake sure that customer expectations is well known at shop floor levelMaster Production Scheduling ExecutionProvide weekly machines schedule plan to operation teamAnalyze production backlog and propose list of orders for launchingPrepare and Issue Production orders cards to ProductionProvide daily targets to Production on bottleneck/critical machinesOptimize the schedule based on required criteria’sMonitoring of PerformanceWeekly review of planned deliveries with purchasing and Follow-up suppliers performanceFollow-up inventory coverage by type of raw materialsParticipate to daily Planning meetings and report RM statusApplication of standardsMake the standard applied on his perimeterPrepare estimative packing for confirmed new Sales OrdersUpdate drums sizes in Navision as per customers’ requirementsPropose realistic and feasible solution to correct deviations (ex: BOM...)Assess alignment of procedures/processesContinuous ImprovementFormalize and share improvements suggestion on his perimeterTeam WorkCoordinate with Planning Team to ensure to maintain OTIF-PCA rate at expected level Work for the site’s collective interestsTransversally works by integrating other departments’ constraintSkills And QualificationsExperience in Planning Department and Manufacturing Environment (minimum 2 years)Engineering degree (4 or 5 years study)Continuous Improvement Skills (Problem solving, Lean, Optimization methods, …)Ability to deal with uncertainty, Proactivity and Alert ManagementComplexity analysis Skills and ManagementCustomer satisfaction mindsetAudit and Monitoring SkillsExperience in ERP systems and MS OfficeGood English, Communication & teamwork SkillsOUR GROWTH CULTUREAmong our employees we share the same values- we are pioneers of the energy transition, dedicated to deliver to the highest standards of performance, united to achieve our ambitious goal.At the individual level our growth culture is built on trust and collaboration.
