In order to continue meeting our needs in a growth environment, EBC is looking for Project Coordinators, experienced in Heavy Civil Construction works. As a Project Coordinator at EBC you will:
- Read technical and administrative project specifications;
- Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
- Inform Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with him and the Superintendent;
- Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Job Superintendent;
- Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
- Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress and issues;
- Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI s, NCR, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
- Organize and participate in various meetings;
- Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
- Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project;
- Extensive travelling is to be expected.
Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 1-3 years of industry experience (heavy civil) preferred.
- Sewer/Infrastructure/Tunnel/Dam Construction experience is considered an asset.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.
- In depth knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, sewer works and tunneling.
- Self-Motivated and flexible.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Scheduling experience and analysis skills.
- Supervision/personnel experience.
- Computer proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Cost analysis, control, and reporting.
- Contracts Commercial knowledge.
- Negotiating skills.
- Bilingualism - French/English - is considered an asset.
- Must be willing to work on various project sites within the province of Ontario.
