In order to continue meeting our needs in a growth environment, EBC is looking for Project Coordinators, experienced in Heavy Civil Construction works. As a Project Coordinator at EBC you will:
  • Read technical and administrative project specifications;
  • Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
  • Inform Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with him and the Superintendent;
  • Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Job Superintendent;
  • Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
  • Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress and issues;
  • Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI s, NCR, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
  • Organize and participate in various meetings;
  • Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
  • Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project;
  • Extensive travelling is to be expected.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of industry experience (heavy civil) preferred.
  • Sewer/Infrastructure/Tunnel/Dam Construction experience is considered an asset.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.
  • In depth knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, sewer works and tunneling.
  • Self-Motivated and flexible.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Scheduling experience and analysis skills.
  • Supervision/personnel experience.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Cost analysis, control, and reporting.
  • Contracts Commercial knowledge.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Bilingualism - French/English - is considered an asset.
  • Must be willing to work on various project sites within the province of Ontario.
