E&I Supervisor

1. JOB PURPOSE:

To assist Instrumentation engineer for all Electrical & instrumentation functions for gas distribution pipelines and pressure reduction stations in Company. To manage the development of scope of work of all E&I Control activities ensuring that latest approved technologies are applied and compliance with applicable international standards. To provide the full range of on and off-site duties including inspections, trouble shooting, maintenance, observations, and reporting. To develop and maintain the required E&I Control process and procedures in line with best industry practices and based on approved applicable standards.

In depth knowledge of E&I, F&G and SCADA systems incorporated in major project of similar nature is essential. Must have the capability to supervise and manage trouble shooting and maintenance of E&I systems. Familiarity with subsystems such as fire and gas, emergency shut down systems etc., and Advance Process Controls will be added qualification.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

Directly supervise/ carryout routine preventive maintenance for instrumentation and electrical systems for gas distribution stations.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of Fire and gas Detection and Inergen fire suppression system

Assist maintenance and validation of Fiscal gas metering systems and Flow computer

Maintenance and troubleshooting of Instrument, loop checking for instrumentation and control system including Motor operated remote valves.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of UPS, Batteries, Chargers.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of pressure reduction skids

Installing, commissioning and maintenance of critical Instruments like Smoke, Heat Detectors, Sounders, Beacons, Manual call points (MCP) & Fire control panels.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of VESDA panels and

Periodic Calibration and Troubleshooting of gas Detectors like H2S, Toxic, Hydrocarbon. Carrying out preventive, corrective and break down maintenance of local control panel (Tyco and simplex Panel) which includes all field instrumentation.

Carries out their duties in accordance with specifications and Company policies and regulations.

Carries out stock check and utilization of spare parts and maintenance materials and plans an inventory to be maintained.

Monitors calibration of all instruments and gauges as per maintenance schedule.

Participates in Emergency and Incident standby ROTA and participates in accident investigation when required.

Assists in non-routine live gas operations and provide support during emergency response situations

Ensure that all preformed activities under this role are in compliance with applicable HSE policies and procedures at all times.

Assists in the preparation and development of scope of work for tender packages and technical evaluation of contractors and submitted tenders.

Prepares work orders and fully conversant with in CMMS (SAP/ Oracle/ Maximo-EAM) system.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

Diploma in engineering in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Control System from an accredited university.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

7 years of minimum experience in gas industry with minimum 5 years in maintenance and troubleshooting of Fire and gas Detection and Inergen fire suppression system and pressure reducing skid. Experience in Fiscal gas metering validation would be an advantage.

Working knowledge of MS Office, CMMS systems (SAP/ Oracle EAM).

PC literacy with good working knowledge of the latest office software

Good knowledge of English language with Good oral and written communication skills.

Valid UAE driving license will be a positive advantage.

Professional Certifications & Trainings

Industrial Automation Training in SCADA, PLC systems

Professional certification in gas engineering and/ or instrumentation from accredited certification body is an advantage.
