- Drilling engineers are responsible for overseeing the drilling of new wells and the maintenance of existing ones. They ensure that all drilling activities are performed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Drilling engineers must have an extensive knowledge of geology, physics, mathematics, and engineering principles. This allows them to make decisions about how best to drill into the earth’s crust to access oil, gas, or water reserves.
