Job Description Accounting Manager
Objective:
The Accounting Manager will direct and oversee the accounting activities of the company, to
ensure all accounting transactions are recorded accurately at relevant time following IFRS and
all disclosure requirements. The Accounting Manager will direct the preparation of current
financial reports and summaries and create forecasts predicting future growth. The Accounting
Manager should have the ability to analyze and reconcile all accounting records, to support the
finance department on projects and company costing and reporting.
Direct Manager:
The Accounting Manager will be reporting to The Finance Manager.
Subordinate:
The Accounting Manager will be overseeing the accountants and projects accountants daily
tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
Works with other department heads to monitor performance and make
recommendations.
Recruits and hires accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations.
Coordinates training programs for inexperienced staff and identifies training needs for
current staff.
Manage accounting activities of the company
Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances.
Assist on budget preparation.
Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested
documentation.
Coordinate with bank on Escrow accounts related matters (Collections & Payments).
Ensure all internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget are
being implemented and followed.
Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
Produce periodic financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with IFRS.
Review projects financial modules including assumptions, valuation, cashflows and
outputs.
Supervise projects accounting activities and provide guidance for day-to-day operations
Manage all accounting transactions with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Responsible for zakat and tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files monthly VAT and
annual zakat return.
Ensures compliance with government requirements.
Supervise ERP implementation and activation
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Proficient in Oracle Fusion or similar accounting/ERP system.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in ZATCA and QAWAEM websites.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in accounting.
A minimum of 6 years of progressive finance, analysis, and leadership experience
required, with a minimum of two years of experience in Real Estate Development.
CPA or another accounting/financial certificate is plus
Physical Requirements:
Does not have a condition that could risk his/her safety in the workplace or ability to
perform the job
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Strong character (charismatic), composure and firmness.
