The role demands a hands-on approach, with meaningful and impactful presence on the floor in the Gym. The Gym vision includes a genuine bonding with our members, where their goals & aspirations become our responsibility, and our mission. The Floor Manager is instrumental in making this happen.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Based in the Gym, the Fitness Manager is responsible for acting as a Quality Assurance auditor, ensuring that equipment, cleanliness, staff are in a state of operational optimality.
Owns the Gym & PT Unit, responsible for delivering operational excellence across the board, including Marketing; Human Resource Management; Member Management; Service-Quality delivery & Member Retention; Scheduling & Programming; P&L Management
Drives Unit Personal Training, developing programs, leveraging the team of Level I, II, II Instructors, and delivering against Budget Targets
Designs Personal Training Programs and manages the Personal Training feedback process; ensuring a systematic feedback mechanism to members.
Acts as an easily available ear to all Members, always ready to discuss objectives, goals, achievements, programming, and progress
Co-ordinates with Fitness Instructors and PTs, ensuring the Gym is always tidy, equipment correctly stored, staff executing their duties as per Standard Operating Procedures.
Manages the Personal Trainers and their clients sessions; reporting the sell-in / sell-out weekly to the management.
Liaises informally with Members in order to have a real-time and first-hand understanding of customer sentiment, needs, complaints, suggestions.
Run Periodic Surveys online and through member feedback form to report on the complaints and action it with the relevant Unit Head / Process owner.
Coordinates closely with both the other department heads and GM to ensure members are receiving the attention and care we aspire to.
Other duties as assigned, including: GM Stand-In; Manager on Duty; Customer Relationship Management duties
Responsible for patrolling our facilities in order to Scan-Validate Members RFID Bracelets
Will assume responsibility for:
o Daily monitoring of Gym / CrossFit Class Bookings & Attendance (via Sentinel)
o Compliance re. Booking / Attendance Policy
o Weekly presentation of Bookings / Attendance / PT Frequency & Packages Inventory data to GM
o ROTA of Gym Instructors
QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma Certificate
REPS L2 or L3
First Aid and AED Certified
Computer skills MS Office, internet, membership systems
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 Years Experience as Assistant Fitness Manager
Experience as a personal trainer is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of exercise physiology, kinesiology, and anatomy
Outstanding communication skills and ability to instruct and teach.
Experience in the management of human resources and business management
Excellent customer service skills
