Our client is looking for a personal exercise assistant for the chairman of a large medical center. The right candidate is a professional sports massage therapist or aphysiotherapist with fitness knowledge. A medical license is NOT required!
- Provide 30-60 minute massages to client.
- Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body.
- Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods.
- Conduct fitness assessments and advise on appropriate exercises.
- Assess the range of movement in joints, test for ease.
- Apply strapping and taping or massage techniques when required.
- Provide emergency aid in a sport or exercise environment if necessary.
- Use a range of techniques such as massage to rehabilitate injuries.
- Manage the clients nutritional diet.
- Maintain the personal fitness room of the client for proper workouts.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
- A degree in physiotherapy or massage therapy or sports massage therapy
- 3+ years of work experience as a massage therapist or physiotherapist.
- Proficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent people skills.
- Well-groomed, professional appearance.
- Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.
