About Haraka Center for Movement Arts
Harak Center for Movement Arts (HCMA) is a place for all to be. It is a dance and movement center based in Kuwait, led by Artistic Director and Founder, Jumana Al Refai. The center will provide a space for women of all ages, dance backgrounds, and levels, to explore and express their passion to move. We will teach our dancers technique, creativity, and improvisation to cultivate their artistic expression. They will also learn how to connect with their body, take risks, and really let go, all in pursuit of finding their movement language. The classes will focus on building a solid foundation in the disciplines of ballet, modern, and contemporary dance while offering other movement-based classes like yoga and pilates.
