Our client, a well-known healthcare facility in UAE is looking for a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist for their inpatient and community based in Abu Dhabi. The Palliative Care Nurse Specialist will have a pivotal role in supporting Multidisciplinary Team with the delivery of respectful and caring nursing service to hospice patients.
Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:
⢠Complete a holistic assessment of needs and provides clinical care to Palliative care patients with complex health care needs, ensuring additional supports or referrals for other specialist services as required.
⢠Develop and implement a tailored, appropriate care plan in consultation with the patient and family, ensuring clear directions for nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members involved in their care e.g. discharge planning, expected outcomes.
⢠Establishes and foster links with the relevant personnel/department/agencies to ensure effective support services for client care.
⢠Deliver palliative care services that are tailored to each patient and consistent with Hospice UAE standards.
⢠Create an environment where the patient and their family are actively supported and empowered to participate in their care.
⢠Respond to symptom control issues promptly, evaluate interventions with fellow nurse and multidisciplinary team members as appropriate, and make adjustments as required.
⢠Monitors and records organisational key performance indicators and clinical indicators reinforcing corrective action to improve clinical services.
⢠Leads quality improvement activities which are interdisciplinary and based on identified causes of risk.
⢠Monitors and evaluates team operations and services to identify problems and takes a lead role in improving systems/processes and safe, effective and efficient resident/patient care.
Requirements
⢠At least 5 years postgraduate experience with hospice or community palliative care services.
⢠Bachelor of Nursing and postgraduate qualification related to Palliative Care.
⢠Willing to work 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (5 days a week)
⢠Willing to be based in Abu Dhabi.
