Adjunct Faculty Position in Mechanical EngineeringAmerican University of Ras Al Khaimah The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department invites applications for adjunct faculty position, beginning Spring 2021. Candidates for this position must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. The successful candidate is expected to teach the following courses: Mechanical Design II and Vibration and Control. All classes and other campus activities are conducted only in English.
Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree in the area of mechanical engineering from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Strong record of active engagement in research and scholarship, including recent publications.
  • University teaching experience
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
  • Familiarity with ABET accreditation requirements
