The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Architecture Department invites applications for adjunct faculty position in Interior Design, beginning Fall 2021. Candidates for this position must hold a terminal degree (Master or PhD) in Interior Design/Interior Architecture. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in Interior Design, including Interior Design Studio, Color Theory and Rendering, History of Art and Interior Design, Interior Construction Methods, Materials and Finishes, Design Communication -Sketching and Drawing for Interiors.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in interior design/interior architecture from an accredited institution of higher education
• Strong record of engagement in activities related to interior design profession (exhibitions, workshops, etc.)
• Relevant university teaching experience
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
• Related practical industry experience
