Water Tank Cleaner / Technician

Job Profile We are looking for an experienced and efficient tank and container cleaning technician to join the team. With a “safety first” approach, this position is responsible for the safe and effective product removal and cleaning of large-scale water storage and container tanks. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and preferably has previous tank cleaning and/or confined space entry experience. We also provide the required professional training before undertaking the job. Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure that Health and Safety is priority by following procedures and acting in a safe manner at all times • Work at heights to remove roof seals • Work inside industrial storage tanks to scrape and clean • Install equipment on new tanks and tanks that are being refurbished, if required • Perform general duties required to complete work including debris removal, clean up, set up, etc. • Complete basic equipment and tool maintenance including basic repairs • Work in confined spaces and wear Supplied Breathing Air Apparatus. • Determines work sequence and equipment required from job order • Inspect completed work for conformance to standards Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Previous tank cleaning experience preferred • Certified technician preferred • Professional demeanor and attitude • Capable of physically demanding work in a confined space environment • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment • Excellent time-management and communication skills
