Sr. Interior Designer

Job Purpose and Scope:

Sr. Interior Design /Design Team in Egypt Office to work for UAE projects.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

Functional Role:

• Ensure acquiring the knowledge of the organization structure & the Workflow process and implement correctly and accurately.
• Research; resourceful and ability to obtain project information.
• Creative mind having the ability to develop various design concepts & drawings with Visual supporting presentation tools for end-user/ stakeholders solely or with team support.
• Well versed and experienced in Software.
• Supporting the team Lead in preparing Resources Schedule and tailoring Project/Resources Budget & Programs.
• Supporting the team Lead in preparing the Drawings Lists & deliverables
• Developing the Drawings Program with the team and reviewing it to ensure, correctness, compatibility with client/Project requirements, & interpret program requirements.
• Develop block plans, adjacency diagrams and deliverables lists accordingly.
• Ensure the quality of material selection to achieve the contractual requirements.
• Strong communicator, collaborative, detail oriented and organized. Lead by example.
• Develop Documents Package for Design and construction process and sequence
• Develop documentation at an excellent production level from Concept Stage to Tender &/or IFC for Design Projects by Managing and coordinating Interior design activities and deliverables.
• Coordinate with all trades throughout the design and construction process.
• Lead Detailed technical review of design documents and makes recommendations when deemed necessary.
• Check for completeness, constructability, areas of significant cost reduction, compliance with
  design intent, and completeness of the information and confirm coordination of disciplines
• Conduct Interior Design, quality check reviews
• Support Design Lead in Developing plans, specifications and bid packages.
• Support Estimation team where required.
• Building and Accessibility codes Versed Knowledge.

• Construction Administration experience: RFI's, submittal review etc. when required
• Contribute in workshops requested by Design Lead & management and provide minutes of meetings.

• Contributing as team member and mentor to achieve team development & skills enhancement.
• Reporting work progress to design Lead.

Preferred Experience PVG-ID is looking for an Interior Designer/Design Lead to join their in-house design team Must have minimum 8 years of experience. Must be holding a Bachelor's degree in interior design. The Senior interior designer is responsible for developing, managing, and recording technical aspects of the project. They work closely with the Design Team Lead, and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production. The Senior interior designer must be responsible for project deliverables, meeting overall project design schedules, as well as preparing and presenting design presentations (In PVID case, will delegate to UAE team to Present). They must inform the Lead of any problems and attend meeting & Conference calls to coordinate with UAE team and other disciplines. Senior interior designers must have strong organizational and communication skills. They must be able to work with coordinators, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project goals. Senior interior designers also must be able to lead the team of resources to create graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction/shop drawings & required Joinery designs and details for the UAE workshop. They must possess great verbal and nonverbal skills and be able to apply them in different situations. The right candidate shall possess a bachelor's degree in architecture or Interior design/Architecture. They must possess the knowledge of all updated soft wares with to design, sketch, and provide drawings of proposed projects Senior interior designers may be required to travel, as well as work long hours when deadlines are approaching
