- To take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Head of Workplace for key project stages
- To prepare, collate, and develop with the team when required conceptual designs, technical drawings, 3D models, presentations, mood boards, finishes boards and other documents relating to interior design
- To conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment
- To develop innovative design concepts which are functional, safe and conducive to intended purposes and function which is reflective of client goals within project budget and timescales
- Responsible for selection and specification of furniture, lighting, flooring, wall covering and artwork. Estimates material requirements and preliminary costs
- To be able to prepare and conduct client presentations
- To assist in the preparation of bids and proposals
- To liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organisations to produce coordinated set of drawings
- To assist leading the design team
