Safety Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Duties

• Maintain reference standards including legal documents related to HSSE as required in the Depot.
• Develop job specific hazard analysis for every activity.
• Identify and record near misses and follow up for corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor and ensure Depot site welfare requirements.
• Focal point for maintaining Monitoring and Measuring Devices related to HSSE, used in the Depot.
• HSSE Orientation/induction the of new staff joining and visitors.
• Conduct periodic HSSE meetings to Depot staff on all HSSE matters.
• Analyze trend of incidences and near misses and ensure corrective/preventive measures.
• Be a part of investigations carried out following any incident.
• Disseminate the learning points from all the accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Maintain records of all inspections, toolbox talks and file in proper way for easy retrievability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Diploma related to Fire Safety or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and PTW management system standards and its implementation.
• Preferred with NEBOSH / IOSH certification or Health & Safety Certificates.
• Fluent in English (fluent in Arabic a plus).

Event Experience

• Preferably a minimum of 10 years of experience in Occupational Safety or work related experience, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement.
• Experience working with transport fleet or transport industry will be an advantage.
• Experience with HSSE incidence investigation.
