Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU – UK), degrees are offered in Qatar in partnership with Oryx Universal College (OUC) located in a central location in Doha. We are seeking a motivated team player to join our People and Culture team as an HR Coordinator with the scope of developing and growing together with the fastest growing university education provider in the State of Qatar.

The university runs a fully computerised HR and Payroll system integrated with the operations and student management platform.

The selected candidate will be expected to fast learn and familiarise with the existing system.

Key expectations will include contribution to;




Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a related role
  • Data Entry, filing and information management
  • Conducts regular meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the senior management and contribute to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Expected to work with with the legal consultants as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Contribute to business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Utilizing the staff LMS to optimize training and communication.
  • Effective utilization of the HRMS platform and staff self service platform.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.

A professional qualification and/or a Degree in HRM or related field or equivalent work experience would be a definite a definite advantage.
