A lead mechanical engineer is responsible foroverseeing the overall project development processes, analyzing blueprints and specifications, and designing system models according to clients' requirements and budget limitations.
- Optimize structural design of bolted/weld cabinet with analyst using ANSYS to achieve desire weight of structure.
- Manage the design cycle for turbine components from prototype to production to meet the schedule requirements from external customers.
- Plan and implement effective strategies to improve plant and facility processes, enhance reliability, and achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Review and approve CFD and/or structural analysis and technical specifications prior to finalizing engineering drawings.
- Model system components in SolidWorks and produce engineering drawings of all parts to be fabricate and install.
- Design, render & develop spec sheet, BOM & catalog installation instructions for complex assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Perform ASME calculations and API calculations.
- Generate 3D models and conduct CFD analysis.
- Perform FMEA as part of the risk assessment.
- Work with contract manufacture to advance products through the UL testing and compliance process.
- Source 3rd party components and analyze BOM to meet the target cost for product production.
- Work closely with electrical engineering on PCBA design and integration to satisfy UL and mange heat.
- Recommend upgrades to PSV and piping to comply with API 14C, API 14E and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain engineering ISO documentation.
- Fabricate prototype assemblies for design evaluation.
