Logistics Assistants

Job Responsibilities:

• Organize and store all materials and tools in a safe and orderly manner in compliance regulation, Instructions and company policies.

• Vehicle loading is strapped and all health and safety regulations are adhered to pm site / apron.

• Ensure proper usage of laundry equipment’s and, assist in identifying all types of garments, airlines laundry from damages, shrinkage, and colour fade and sorting and packing for the other airlines linen.

• Correct handling and operation of all machines, materials and equipment including the cleaning, packing and storage in accordance with the directions and guidelines given.

• Follow instructions from Team Leader relating but not limited to hygiene & productivity.

• Receives products and coordinates delivery

• Prepares loads for shipment

• Takes steps to avoid quality control issues

• Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

• Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met

• Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles

• Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible

• Streamlines shipping and transportation processes

• Experience in logistics management preferred, Two-year degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred, Experience often may substitute for education.
