HSE Officer

Basic Function and Scope

Manage the HSSE matters related to the daily operation of the materials warehouse and related facilities.

Ensure Zero LTI and safety is implemented across the warehouse

Tasks and Duties

Ensuring that work carried out in the chemical warehouse comply with regulations

stipulated in the Companys HSSE regulations and Local statutory regulations

Be familiar with statutory requirements and HSSE regulations for import of chemicals and the safe disposal of toxic wastes;

Maintaining Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS all chemicals bought and used in the company;

Setting up a system that ensures for the safe storage and easy retrieval of materials and chemicals and its associated records in accordance with the Companys HSSE MS;

With Worksite operating team, establish safe warehouse operating procedures and ensure that materials and equipment received are properly operated in a safe manner;

Ensure good housekeeping, security and safety practices are observed always;

Ensure forklift , lorry & pick up operation adhere to HSSE standards;

Ensure chemicals and catalyst are handled and stored safely taking into consideration their storage compatibility.

Act as a focal point for all matters related to HSSE at the warehouse;

Coordinate for delivery of materials, chemical and catalyst to plant areas.

Ensure that current statutory legislation on import/export, transportation/shipment of dangerous goods, safety,storage, customs and excise procedures and environmental requirements are adhered to always.

Manage total performance of warehouse operation in a safe manner.

Any other work instructed by Worksite operating team

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Diploma in Business Administration/Logistics (preferably majoring in warehouse

operations) or any related field and at least 5 years of related experience in HSSE related work for warehousing. Very good understanding of the English Language.
