Cost Engineer/Senior Cost Engineer

This is a remote position.

Role Summary :

Cost Engineers are responsible for the review and management of all costs and variations based on project or business unit contractual terms or requirements, measurement of various quantities, verification of subcontract works, and promote cost control/reporting. Advice on cost saving measures to project manager and prepare timely progress invoices based on approved progress.

Requirements

Education :

• Bachelor of Engineering or QS degree
  
• Preferred Certified Cost Engineering or similar
  

Experience:

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas construction, Refinery (maintenance and TAR s), logistics and plant/equipment contracts. 2 years in Gulf in the similar position.
  

Specific Skills:

Working knowledge of ERP packages, systems integration, data processing and analysis.

• Experience in Service Call Off Contracts, Fabrication, Shut Down, Tanks & Pressure Vessels projects, logistics, plant and equipment contracts.
  
• Competent enough to understand various cost components of project.
  
• Competent enough to understand to quantify various sub contracts works i.e. Painting, Insulation, Fire proofing, Scaffolding, Structural & Piping works etc.
  
• Sound knowledge on productivity norms used in the above areas.
  
• Monthly Cost Reporting
  
• Cost Value Reconciliations
  
• Forecasting and Budgeting
  
• Invoicing
  
• Subcontract management
  
• Driving - preferred
