Job Description

- Inspecting equipment to ensure that it is working properly and taking measures to prevent accidents
- Maintaining equipment such as pumps, motors, pipes, valves, gauges, and meters to ensure that it is working properly
- Recording production data such as oil and gas production levels, storage tank levels, and pipeline pressures
- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents or injuries
- Conducting geological surveys of new drilling sites to identify potential hazards such as environmental conditions or geological formations that may affect drilling operations
- Inspecting and repairing pipelines, valves, and other equipment used in oil and gas extraction and refining processes
- Operating equipment used in oil and gas production, such as pumps, compressors, engines, and heaters
- Responding to emergency situations such as fires, explosions, mechanical breakdowns, and spills
- Reviewing test results from samples of oil, gas, or water taken from wells to determine chemical composition, density, acidity, salinity, and other factors that may affect the value of the sample
