Job Description

- Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines
- Regular ward rounds on surgical patients and assist treating physicians during ward rounds.
- Surgical Registrar must be in contact (written or verbal) to visiting surgeons and arrange if needed the admission and preparation of their patients for operation
- Assists in surgical procedures performed in OR by both in-house and visiting surgeons.
- To attend casualty cases and should be able to give emergency treatment, be able to do necessary admission procedures and to refer difficult cases to consultants in the clinic. All admission must be done with the consultant’s approval.
- Completes discharge files and statistics.
