- Provide a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors through the library service desk.
- Apply library policies and guidelines and explain these to users.
- Respond to in-person, online, and phone queries regarding library services and resources.
- Issue and return library materials.
- Assist users in locating information about library resources, both print and electronic
- Ensure that equipment in the Library is in working order and reporting faults, as necessary.
- Giving advice and guidance to users of the Library on the use of the Library, its collections, services, and equipment, including IT equipment and basic software.
- Re-shelving, tidying and rearrangement of library stock.
