About SOS Children Village
More than 140 million children worldwide have lost one or both parents. When a child's world is turned upside down, SOS Children’s Villages UK works to give them a home and a family with siblings and a trained SOS parent. We provide communities where children can grow up from infancy to adulthood with quality education and medical care. Our emergency work ensures that children and their families coping with conflict and disaster receive immediate life saving support, while our psycho-social and reintegration programmes provide the care and skills to rebuild lives. We also advocate for children's rights and the improvement of quality care at international, national and local levels, encouraging children to have a voice in the decisions that affect them.
