Saudi Fisheries Company was established in 1980 (1401H) as a joint stock company, according to Royal Decree No. M/7 dated 5/8/1400H. The Company was established with a fully paid capital of SR 200,000,000 (Two Hundred Million Saudi Riyals) with 40% contributed by the Government and the remaining 60% raised from the private sector. Saudi Fisheries Company was established to develop investment opportunities in Fishing and Aquaculture together with the manufacturing and sale of seafood both locally and in the International market. The Company started its operational activities in 1981 (1401H) and has over the past 20 years developed into one of the largest vertically integrated companies operating in the seafood sector in the Middle East. The Company has through its ownership of a fleet of modern fishing vessels, the development of modern seafood processing plants and its chain of Retail Shops, gained an enviable reputation for quality and service in both the domestic and international markets. The Company’s Head-office and primary processing plants is located in Dammam and another plant based in Jazan. SFC also operates processing and distribution depots in Riyadh and Jeddah. All operations are linked together with a modern communication system ensuring up to the minute information throughout the organization.
