Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure the execution, Maintenance construction and inspection of roads requirements, standards and procedures being done correctly. • Revise designs of road facilities and structures to assure they comply with technical requirements and ensure the maintainability of the systems. • Define routine and preventive maintenance activities and required frequency to ensure continued sound operation and functionality. • Schedule any validation/reliability and/or quality tests required. • Devise the appropriate corrective action for standard or frequent problems. • Implement preventive and routine maintenance according to schedule through the use of contractors, and develop corrective maintenance activities upon identification of problems by contracting external contractors. • Monitor the performance of the contractors and maintain register/records of the results and quality of service of approved contractors. • Ensure operational compliance and observe maintenance construction procedures to assure all procedures are being done correctly and all systems comply with requirements of the established standards. • Prepare and present recommendations and reports regarding quality issues. • Update the database in BMMS as required. • Should incorporate in BMMS system any data comes from Maximo software such as the corresponding work order reference to certain defect in the remedial list of the structures as well as update the estimated cost of executed corrective activities, which is input it previously in the system, with the updated cost. • Supervising the work distribution among the inspectors and following up with them to get the reporting works. • Promptly ensure to prevent and report all accidents and/or potential hazards. • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position when appropriate.
