Job Descriptions / Responsibilities:
Performs all functions of Dental Lab Technician II.
Prepares models from dental impressions, fabricates special trays, bite blocks, base plates, orthodontic appliances, set-up teeth, cures dentures and prepares them for insertion to include design, casting, finishing and polishing.
Fabricates prosthesis's as experience and capabilities permit.
Assists with instruction of other technicians and trainees when directed.
Assists the Dental Laboratory Supervisor by ensuring the smooth and efficient operation and work flow and design and keep all necessary records of all work performed.
Receives training in other Dental Laboratory techniques and procedures as required.
Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Produce dental laboratory procedures according to the guidelines and criteria established in the given specialty, i.e., Orthodontics, Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics (full and partial), Esthetic Ceramic Restorations, etc.
Demonstrate care and respect for property, equipment, supplies and materials to prevent waste, loss or damage.
Comply and execute orders and instructions of supervisors.
Maintain cleanliness by keeping all work areas clean after finishing a procedure.
Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
