The Workover Engineer shall report to the Workover Engineering Manager.
The role shall be responsible for delivery of effective workover and completion solutions for the Rumaila field and will work closely with the drilling, workover operation, subsurface and production teams.
Lead by example with a strong commitment to HSSE.
Engineering support to, design and prepare workover programmes for water shutoff, ESP repair, ESP installations, well integrity repairs.
Ensure all pre-job technical calculations are performed (kill fluid requirements, etc).
Work with Logistics, PSCM and Workover Team Leaders to ensure call-offs prepared for all equipment.
Ensure long lead items are identified and ordered for upcoming operations.
Prepare post-job workover reports and other technical reports as required.
Conduct engineering post-job reviews with workover rig and service companies to define engineering and performance improvements.
Provide technical and engineering support to workover operations site staff.
Offer recommendations for operational improvements plus any optimization opportunities.
Establish and maintain office well files.
Participate in quarterly performance reviews.
Support Wells L&OD Manager in developing and managing technical training programs to cover all of the requirements of the Workover and Completions Work functions.
Ensure each workover trainee receives the following documents upon entering the program: Golden Rules, Oilfield Primer, Rumaila Standards.
Training Guide for Rumaila Drilling and Workover Engineers.
Develop and manage the engineering trainees and their training program.
Support L&OD Manager to develop engineer trainee Personnel Development Plans (PDP).
Support L&OD Manager to ensure the capture of skills development, by ensuring that competency assessments are conducted and accurate training records are kept.
Work with the in place training material and develop it further to be able to accurately appraise individual performance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
Educated to Bachelor of Science in Engineering, level.
Experience with land rig workover operations and planning, including water shutoff and ESP operations.
Good communication and mentoring skills to be commensurate with the above job role.
Strong English language skills required.
Be able to demonstrate knowledge of the oil industry.
