Outline Company s lab requirements by engaging researchers, partners and suppliers
Liaises with Major Projects Group to control scope of work and for development of man-hour estimates related to R&D labs
Develop the lab equipment procurement strategy Liaises with Major Projects and Contracts Group
Ensure that Company s lab equipment reflect latest technologies ensuring the set-up of a world-class research center
Coordinate all the activities related to procurement of lab equipment
Prepares and seek approval of the necessary documentation related to lab equipment procurement Liaises with Major Projects and Contracts Group as required
Control and approve the R&D processes and relative equipment proposed by competitive design teams and participate in selection of architecturalengineering team selected according to competitive design competition
Participates in the key discussion and review for the contract cycle related to R&D labs & equipment
Coordinate the cost budget estimation, project time durations and the critical aspects of estimated expenditure for R&D labs before submission of the update to Senior ManagementAct as the main advisor to R&D Planning & Support Team for the laboratories layout and preliminary definition of scientific equipment
Support the supervision of R&D Center construction contractor to ensure timely delivery of the R&D Center labs
Approve change orders (regarding laboratories equipment) proposed by the EPC contractor on behalf R&D Planning & Support Team
Act as the main scientific adviser for controlling on going technical specifications, planning and budget specifically related to laboratories
Perform related duties such as preparing technical and scientific reports, conducting workshops, attending meetings, organizing seminars, relating to laboratories and scientific equipment
Attend pre-commissioning meetings to ensure that lab construction project work has been completed satisfactorily prior to handing over to the R&D Group Ensure that arrangements are made to follow up on listed items and accepted exceptions
Responsible for managing project risks
Reports regularly on the key project risks to TLCarries out other related duties, such as preparing a variety of technical reports and correspondence, attending meetings as required and representing the Company with contractors consultants
