About the Company

This company engages in the exploration, production, transportation, and sale of crude oil and natural gas. It operates through the following segments: Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment includes crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration, field development, and production. The Downstream segment focuses on refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum and petrochemical products, and related services to international and domestic customers. The Corporate segment offers supporting services including human resources, finance, and information technology. The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Position Description

Human Resources & Corporate Services (HR&CS) is one of the seven Business and Service Lines within This Company. It provides a wide spectrum of support services that enable This Company to safely, reliably, and cost-effectively achieve the company's strategic objectives. HR&CS is comprised of these seven organizations:

  • Industrial Services: providing air, ground, and marine transport and logistics services.
  • Community Services: developing and managing communities and offices.
  • Safety & Industrial Security: protecting and safeguarding employees and assets.
  • Human Resources: providing HR services that support, attract, develop and retain a talented workforce.
  • Corporate Affairs: maintaining effective relations with Saudi Government agencies, advocating company interests and positions, and managing land reservations.
  • Public Affairs: handling the company's corporate communications function and maximizing its brand value through messaging and content generation, media production activities, and corporate citizenship programs.
  • Medical Services: providing healthcare as part of our employee benefits package to This Company employees, dependents and retirees.

HR&CS is seeking a Senior Strategy Advisor to support in the development and execution of strategic plans across its vast and diverse service offerings. This important role will support Service Line organizations to develop business improvement plans and strategies, and monitor execution. The strategist also participates in analysis and strategy development to address short and long-term, highly-complex issues and problems.


You will be required to perform the following:

  • Monitor, evaluate and analyze market landscape, trends, competition, benchmarks, opportunities and threats.
  • Identify the business needs of HR&CS, lead the development of plans and strategies (planning, prioritization, and decision making) to actualize goals.
  • Develop and communicate strategies address competition, changes in customer preference, and improvements in technology and marketing tools.
  • Execute strategic plans, including development of new businesses, investment strategies, and put plans into action.
  • Facilitate workshops, translating conclusions into recommendations and leading the design and implementation of large-scale organizational change programs.
  • Support the annual planning process, tying budgets to projects and outcomes.
  • Address business problems from a long-term perspective while also delivering on near-term goals.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions to address, including resource requirements, timing, and risks.
  • Build appropriate external and internal presentation materials on the Business Line Strategies, Vision, Missions, etc.
  • Mentor, train, and develop less-senior staff.


  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related discipline; an advanced business degree (e.g., MBA) and/or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, PMP) is preferred.
  • At least of 10 years of experience in strategy development, review and implementation gained in top-tier consulting, investment banking, private equity firm or similar organizations in one or more of the following fields: aviation, marine, medical services, housing, utilities, transportation, safety, security, loss prevention, human resources, public affairs, corporate affairs.
  • Enterprise Risk Management knowledge.
  • Knowledge of a diverse array of sustainability issues ranging from social impacts to communities to technical, environmental and economic impacts associated with key issues.
  • Proven ability to develop impactful business cases.
