Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CFO and executive team at Suplift to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives.
  
• Conduct thorough financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, to support strategic decision-making within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector.
  
• Provide guidance and expertise on all aspects of the startup investment landscape, including funding rounds, valuations, pitch deck preparation, and investor relations within the industry.
  
• Evaluate potential investment opportunities and perform due diligence on startups, assessing their financial viability, market potential, and growth prospects within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector.
  
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external investors within the industry.
  
• Monitor financial performance indicators, identify trends, and recommend appropriate actions to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Suplift to drive financial discipline, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies specific to the industry.
  
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging financial practices within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance financial strategies and processes at Suplift.
  
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the industry.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (CFA, CPA) are highly desirable.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, venture capital, or a similar role, preferably with exposure to startups and the investment landscape within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector.
  
• Strong knowledge and understanding of funding rounds, valuations, pitch deck preparation, and investor relations within the startup ecosystem specific to the entertainment, culture, and tourism industry.
  
• Proven track record of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights within the sector.
  
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, analyze risks, and make informed recommendations specific to the entertainment, culture, and tourism industry.
  
• Proficient in financial software and tools, including financial modeling software, Excel, and other relevant applications.
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders within the industry.
  
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment within the entertainment, culture, and tourism sector.
