OT Anaesthesia technician

• Assists the anaesthesia staff in the setup and initialization of hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
  
• Assists anesthesiologists in care of patients before, during, and immediately after anesthesia which involves the following: Transfer of patients from stretchers to operating table; attachment of vital signs monitoring equipment; Positioning and hold patients for procedures, i.e spinal, epidurals;
  
• Assist in endotracheal intubation by preparing and holding equipment;
  
• Assist in transfer from operating room to PACU.
  
• Conducts performance tests, performs calibration and first level repairs (i.e. battery changes, cable swapping, monitor checks) of anesthesia equipment.
  
• Prepares blood pressure transducers. Calibrates them to the appropriate machine. Sets up IV solutions and IV infusions.
  
• Set up equipment for use in the work area such as, but not limited to, connecting input and output hoses, bronchoscopes, and assembling breathing circuits. Delivers required anesthesia equipment as needed.
  
• Troubleshoots routine problems with equipment in OR during use, repairing or replacing as necessary.
  
• Assist the Clinical Engineering group with various projects, including machine modification and data accumulation.
  
• Ensures appropriate technical coverage by assigning staff appropriately and resolves operational problems with appropriate inter-and intra- departmental personnel in the absence of the supervisor.
  
• Acts as a liaison to clinical support departments to ensure that all Anesthesia clinical needs are met in the most efficient and effective manner.
  
• Takes responsibility for verifying timesheets for technical staff on any shift for which they provide supervisory coverage.
  
• Takes on-call rotation to provide technical support for surgical anesthesia.
  
• Assumes other related duties as needed.
  

Requirements

1. Education : Diploma/Bachelors in Anaesthesia technology.

2. Experience : Minimum 3 Years of relevant work experience & having Gulf experience is an added advantage.

3. Location : Kuwait.

4. MOH License is not mandatory.
