Important responsibilities in this role will include:
- Strong experience in Big Data Technologies
- Strong experience in at least two of the following programming languages: Cloudera, Hive, Impala and Spark
- Experience as a data architect on big data platforms with expertise in BFSI sector
- Knowledge of different components of the Hadoop Ecosystem HDFS, Map Reduce, Hive, Kafka, Storm, Oozie, and Sqoop
- Good understanding of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets
- Experience in end-to-end solution development and data pipeline building
- Ability to prioritize and manage work to meet critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
- Experience in data engineering / data management, and ETL (customized and available tools)
- Experience in data modeling, transformations, and harmonization.
What we expect of you/Skills we re looking for/Qualifications
- More than 8 years of experience in big data technologies, object-oriented languages, such as Python or Scala, along with experience in public cloud platforms such as Azure
- Rich experience in any type of SQL or NoSQL database, such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and HBase
- Experience in development testing and deployment, coding standards, and best practices
- Experience in batch processing / real-time implementations using Sqoop, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, and Hive
- Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / Engineering from a reputed university
- Experience in data management with exposure in various domains such as marketing, customer & supply chain
