- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sterility through proper cleaning packaging and autoclaving of items.
- Perform delivery, cleaning, packing duties under the direct of supervisor.
- Perform decontamination of all types of instrumentation
- Receive dirty instruments and equipment, and prepares them for mechanical or manual cleaning.
- Checks and tests equipment & surgical instruments to assure that they function properly.
- Pack and label as per the policy guidelines instrument sets, anaesthetictrays, equipment and utensils according to defined guidelines in preparation forsterilisation
- Participates in nursing continuous quality improvement initiatives, in service education programmes, unit meetings and committee functions as assigned by nurse in charge
- Initiates emergency, safety practices and fire safety measures as necessary
- Reports all incidents through agreed channels and chain of command, ensuring Incident report is completed, submitted to nurse in charge and any immediate action required taken
- Maintains and adheres to patient confidentiality at all times
- Responsible for attendance to yearly mandatory training as scheduled on mandatory training calendar
Requirements
- Should have 2 years of relevant experience in OT and well aware with all the instruments and OT protocols.
- Home country experience is considered.
- Should have a bachelors degree in Relevant field of work.
- Experience : Minimum 3 Years of relevant work experience & having Gulf experience is an added advantage.
- MOH License is not mandatory.
