The Syria Resilience Consortium was founded in 2016 and is made up of six INGO partners: 1) CARE (as the lead) working with 2) Danish Refugee Council, 3) Humanity and Inclusion, 4) International Rescue Committee, 5) Norwegian Refugee Council, and 6) Mercy Corps (in partnership with 10+ Syrian NGOs). The partners came together around a long-term vision for the Syrian humanitarian crisis, aiming to reach conflict-affected communities to help restore their socio-economic well-being and strengthen their capacity to respond to shocks. The SRC works across 3 main hubs throughout the whole of Syria (Northwest, Northeast, and Central Syria), and implements activities that promote improved livelihoods, social cohesion, ability to cope with the impact of conflict and displacement, and overall adaptive capacities of the Syrian people.
